The Manifesto
What We Are

Freedom of Information.

We like sharing what we know and learning from others. This is not the place to save your favorite moves or tricks or cheats for yourself. We are a team and the Strength of the team is the objective we seek. Yes, personal accomplishments are good, and are encouraged, but Team accomplishments are better. The Free Exchange of Knowledge can only create a more powerful Union, and be more fun.

Diverse Global Membership.

TTU’s members come from Belgium and Finland, Hong Kong and Bulgaria. We are in Every Region of the United States, as well as Queensland and South Australia, and Parts of Canada.
We range in age from 65 to 14, which allows a lot of knowledge and maturity to be passed down, while a lot of energy and creativity is passed upwards.
We are Bankers, and Plumbers, and University Students and Musicians, High School Students and Magazine editors, who enjoy having fun.

Common Interests.

Despite that diversity, we have many common interests, that can be deduced by looking at the games we play.
First and Foremost, Aviation. And Aviation History, Military History, and History in General.
We love anything that flies!
We are captivated by the drama and intrigue involved in military maneuvers.
We have had many long discussions, debates, tutorials, on the movements, mobilizations, invasions, and incursions, that cratered the 20th Century.
A number of us seem to have a common interest in Graphic Arts, whether Photo Shopping custom skins, or editing a game vid to put on You Tube, or going to University majoring in Computer Arts.
An ability to play music or simply a love of listening to music is shared by most all of us here.
The Artistically Bent are welcome here.
And of course, a knowledge and enjoyment of the frustration only computers can bring you is shared by all of us.
Finally, we all just wanna have FUN!

n00bs Are Welcome! We were all noobs once, there really isn’t much more to say, is there. In fact, we enjoy recruiting and training the noob to play our way, it all goes back to freedom and sharing of information.

Commitments;
The Tempest Union expects active, committed, pilots, and understands that time and personal preference create varying levels of what each of us wants from the game.

A level of participation is required to remain an active Squadron member, the minimum of which is Forum posting.

1. In lieu of regular posting, participation in any or all of the scheduled tournaments, practices, training sessions will suffice.

2. Pilots involved in tournaments are required to reply in the briefings topics, or they will be dropped from the roster of the upcoming match.

3. All pilots must post at least occasionally in the Forum, if only to say 'hi, I'm still alive'.

a. Any pilot who does not make a post or participate in a scheduled tournament, practice, or training session, for 21 days will be considered AWOL, and put on Inactive Status. The Pilot will be notified by PM and Email.

b. After 28 days without any of the above listed contacts, the pilot will be considered a deserter and dropped from the squadron, his status will be that of registered member of the forum.

The Tempest Union is a relaxed, but still serious organization, we understand that Real Life takes precedence over any game.

1. Therefore, TTU commits that we will always make adjustments in rosters, scheduling, assignments, and expectations when notified of an issue.

2. Extended Vacations will be considered R&R time when proper notification has been received.

3. Any pilot may put himself on Reserve or Inactive status by notifying his Commanders through a post in the forum, private message, or email.

4. Any pilot may re-instate himself through the same channels."

No Whining. Complaining about a game only ruins it for those around you. Cheating is rare, if you’re getting beat all the time, it’s likely you need to improve. It’s probably just lag anyway. Name calling exchanges, flaming posts, will not be tolerated in the Forum.
Foul language will not be tolerated in the forum or the game chat box, as well as ventrilo. We treat our competition as gentlemen until they prove us wrong.

Welcome to The Tempest Union ={TTU}=
