Welcome to TTU!
The Tempest Union, which just celebrated its third anniversary in January 2009, is a gaming clan currently committed to the popular combat flight sim, IL2 Sturmovik 1946.
TTU was formed to compete in the arcade flight game, Heroes of the Pacific, and quickly became the dominant Squadron of the game.
By early Spring, 2007, popularity of Heroes of the Pacific had waned, and the Tempest Union moved as a unit to the more difficult full simulator, Il2. While the learning curve was steep and frustrating at times, we brought with us an organization, and basic flight skills, that allowed us to overcome the challenges of the much more realistic physics.
We fully plan to move on to Storm of War when it is finally released.
The basic tenets of our Union, including fair play, sportsmanship, good attitude, and a desire to have fun, quickly made TTU a well known and respected member of the IL2 community.
Our commitment to training, and our desire to continually improve our gameplay, has recently added to that respect, as TTU has moved into the upper tier of competitive squadrons.
